Marine Radio
Marine radio is used on most if not all sea going craft and vessels. It is primarily intended for emergency communications when a vessel is in distress but also used for communicating with other vessels, ports, locks, harbours and marinas. Marine VHF radio equipment operates in the 156-161MHz band, with marine portables using 5W or power and marine fixed equipment having up to 25W output. This gives a range of anything from 2 miles to 60 miles at sea level. Recent updated features on some equipment include DSC and GMDSS which allows one button distress calling and ship identity being transmitted.
Red Radio offers a wide range of Marine Portable, fixed Marine equipment and GMDSS equipment as well as IP67 equipment.
