Villains and Cheats

In this section we highlight the low life scumbags that have attempted and sadly on some occasions succeeded in ripping us off.

Top of the list currently is:

1.  Steve Miller.

Formally of SGM Security in Dunstable, this thief "hired" some radios and never returned them.  He promised tens of time to return them and even suggested he wanted to purchase them, but nothing ever came of it.  He never returned the radios and never paid for them or the earpieces he was supposed to pay for either.

This was reported to the police in December 2023, and is logged as a theft with a Crime reference number.  Sadly the police were duped when they interviewed him he swore that he was still aiming to bring our property back but had "mislaid" them.  The police failed to look at some 40 pages of evidence which they had lost.

Steve Miller now runs an Afro Carribean Cafe  which we believe is in Royston but Companies House shows the registered address as Winslow, Buckinghamshire.

65 year old Miller has had a succession of directorships, most ending in companies being dissolved after compulsory strike off proceedings started (normally indicating debt) and him starting a new venture.

Update as of February 2026, that Bedfordshire Police have dropped charges, despite thief Miller admitting he had our radios.  Sadly the police in this matter have been more than inept and mislaid vital evidence on a number of occasions thus "lack of evidence" when charges were due.

2.  Scott Collins.

"Scotty" formally ran a two way radio company based in Enfield and I thought we were friends as we had both helped at a company called Commend.  Sadly Scotty has broken this friendship by buying £600 of equipment from us on account and never paying for it.  He has changed all his contact details and was last seen of working for BT Openreach as a contractor.  He still owes me £600.

3. Rod Tomlinson.

I haven't seen or heard of this character for a while, but again he is similar to Scotty above and abused a friendship to steal from us.  Rod, under the guise of Aspect Communications purchased product on account and never paid.  He was taken to small claims court for some £1200 but never paid and has gone into hiding.
